About Me
Young and dynamic. These are two words that best describe my team. The beauty of Br Life is that we are made up of people from different backgrounds; i.e. banking, education, sales, IT, engineering and finance, to name a few. In our agency, everyone works for themselves, but as a TEAM. I take pride in providing Br Life with professional training and a dedicated development program to bring out the best of the potential in our people, towards career progression of choice.
My story is a movement from engineering into insurance, and I am not the only one who has made this kind of change or decision. When asked to compare between the engineering profession and my insurance career, I realize that engineering is about problem solving– you draw satisfaction from finding a solution. Doing my job well would lead to great profit for my company but it is hard to relate to how it could make a difference to the people surrounding me. With my insurance career, I am able to direct value to my clients’ lives and make a positive impact. The contribution I can make to society is so much more tangible. The decisions that my clients make with the right confidence because of my financial consultation, is what gives my work meaning.
I want to leave a mark in the industry beyond my own agency. Brunei’s financial industry is still in its infancy; There is still plenty to catch up on, with the standard of the financial industry in our neighbouring countries being far ahead of ours. I want to play my part to help elevate the perception of insurance agents by lifting the standard - through setting an example myself, and developing and supporting my agents to be leaders.
